Audio Visual Operations Manager - KVL NYC

Job Summary:
The Audio Visual Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the AV operations within a hospitality-related environment, such as hotels, convention/conference centers, and meeting facilities. This role will involve overseeing hotel AV operations and technicians, generating new business opportunities, and managing the AV equipment inventory. Additionally, the Operations Manager will need to have a strong technical knowledge of audio, video, and lighting systems.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Event Technology in overseeing hotel AV operations and technicians.
- Foster positive working relationships with hotel management, support staff, clients, event planners, and KVL management.
- Manage the schedule of hotel AV technicians.
- Generate new business opportunities within the hotel and surrounding areas by prospecting, soliciting RFPs, and providing quotes.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Oversee AV equipment inventory, including sourcing/negotiating cross-rentals and ensuring their safe return.
- Maintain open communication with other KVL property inventories.
- Provide logistics for incoming/outgoing equipment.
- Have a general and advanced understanding of audio, video, and lighting systems.
- Ability to take over basic operation roles on analog and digital mixing consoles, switching, projection, GFX operation, dimming, spot lighting, and stage washing if necessary.

Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of AV management experience within a hospitality-related environment.
- Experience in hotel/corporate "in-house" or "freelance" AV, convention centers, trade shows, sporting arenas, or exclusive event venues is preferred.
- Strong AV sales experience with attention to detail.
- Ability to work diligently, calmly, and professionally under tight run-of-show deadlines.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- VIP customer service experience is preferred.
- Attention to detail and the ability to address issues promptly.
- Team player mindset.
- Experience with hotel/corporate operations is a plus.

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000
