Production Coordinator - NYC

Location: New York, NY

Job Opportunity: On-Site AV Production Coordinator – New York City

This position requires 100% on-site work in New York City. Remote work is not available.

Preferred Candidate Experience:
We welcome all applicants, but candidates with experience in the following areas will be prioritized:

  • In-House AV Experience: Hotel, corporate, or venue settings
  • Freelance AV Experience: Hotel, corporate, or venue environments
  • Audio and video recording experience
  • Large Event Spaces: Convention centers, trade shows, sporting arenas, or exclusive event venues

Operational/Technical Requirements:
Candidates should demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Experience:
    • 1–2 years of AV management experience within a hospitality-related environment (e.g., hotels, convention centers, event venues, or meeting facilities).
    • Previous work with bands and/or live performances
  • Leadership:
    • Assist the Director of Event Technology in overseeing venue AV operations and technician teams.
    • Foster positive relationships with venue management, support staff, clients, event planners, and internal management.
    • Knowledge of audio visual industry. Ability to find, hire and train av technicians.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Audio: Proficiency in basic operation of digital mixing consoles.
    • Video: Proficiency in video switching, projection, and GFX operation.
      • Basic LED Wall knowledge
    • Lighting:
      • Capability to manage basic dimming, spot lighting, and stage washing.
      • Intelligent moving lights knowledge

Professional Skillset Expectations:

  • Ability to work diligently, calmly, and professionally under tight, run-of-show deadlines.
  • Exceptional professionalism and respect when engaging with clients and venue staff.
  • VIP-level customer service skills, with prior VIP experience preferred.
  • High attention to detail, as minor issues can significantly impact events.
  • Strong team player mindset, maintaining collaboration throughout the process.
  • Familiarity with hotel, corporate, and social venue operations is highly desirable.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 + bonus potential
